For Moses Njovu, it was his first time to travel outside his home country of Zambia to perform with the AGCO Future Farm Choir. And for Norbert Stadler, it was his first time to attend Agritechnica to see his favorite Fendt tractors on exhibit.
But best of all, Agritechnica was an opportunity for the two to meet each other after Mr. Stadler donated a secondhand tractor and subsoiler to the Njovu family earlier this year.
The two shook hands and spoke through an interpreter. Mr. Njovu presented Mr. Stadler with a thank-you gift of a Fendt model tractor and cap. They also met with some of the AGCO team that made the whole endeavor possible.
The AGCO Future Farm Choir performed in the AGCO Agriculture Foundation booth, which in a happy coincidence overlooked the Fendt stand. They sang in traditional languages of Nanja and Bemba. The choir performed at a number of events over the course of Agritechnica, including the Max Eyth Evening presentation of the Gold and Silver Innovation Awards.
We are proud that Agritechnica 2019 was a place for Mr. Njovu and Mr. Stadler to forge a connection with each other and the greater AGCO community, and we hope their story inspires more people to get involved.
