2015 marks the 25th anniversary for AGCO. For 25 years, farmers have depended on AGCO to deliver world-leading innovation and a wide array of products for the complete agricultural lifecycle.

Agriculture has gone through significant technological changes since its humble origins; from horse to tractor, to the adoption of hydraulics, and now the information age.  Each technological innovation brought along a breakthrough in productivity for farmers.  Today, we are right in the middle of one of the most fundamental changes to agriculture that any of us will see in our lifetimes.  Precision farming represents a hinge point in the industry not seen since the mechanization of farming. These are exciting times!

Our technology solutions are best-of-breed. In 2013, AGCO launched Fuse®, the world’s first open, mobile, and mixed fleet precision farming approach. The Fuse strategy encompasses all technology products offered by AGCO and our partners across all brands and regions. Through connectivity of products and services and use of big data, Fuse enables growers to optimize their farming operations like never before.

The timeline to the right shows many, though not all, of AGCO’s precision farming innovations over the years. Many technologies, such as automatic guidance, that were once considered pioneering – are now considered a standard part of doing business for many operations. It is interesting to consider what groundbreaking technologies today will be commonplace in the future.

The list of innovations will only continue to expand. New products and partnerships will soon be announced, along with a refined focus on unparalleled service capabilities for our customers. Then as now, our goal remains to help our customers maximize productivity and profitability.
