AGCO RoGator Wins Product of the Year

Think of it as the People’s Choice Award for agricultural equipment!  We couldn’t be more thrilled that the RoGator 1396 was named the 2010 CropLife IRON Product of the Year by readers of CropLife IRON magazine.

The RoGator 1396 self-propelled sprayer was one of five finalists handpicked by editors of CropLife IRON, a major publication read by some of the most cutting-edge people in the industry – our customers! Online voting for the five nominees was opened to the public in mid-November, and most of the votes were cast by professional applicators and larger farm operators – again, the core of our customer base. RoGator was announced as the winner at the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association meeting in Peoria, Illinois, on January 19.

The new drive system on this sophisticated machine is designed with a hydraulic motor and a separate gear reduction hub. The control cab is specifically designed for application equipment and features a six-post design that provides more visibility to see the boom tips than competing machines, in which boom views are often obstructed by cab-frame posts. The wider visibility and lower boom rests also come in handy during transport from field to field. These key innovations were instrumental in RoGator receiving a nod for the nomination.
