AGCO AGWN logoCurrently, our diversity and inclusion approach places a strong focus on balancing the number of women at every level of the Company, with a special emphasis on increasing the number of women in leadership positions. With this in mind, the AGCO Global Women’s Network (AGWN) is dedicated to training and developing women as promoters and growers of profitability. To promote hiring and advancement of women leaders AGCO also partners with external organizations, such as Women in Agribusiness and Women in Engineering, whose objectives align with our own goals to build a more gender-diverse pipeline of future leaders.

The Manufacturing Institute’s STEP Ahead Awards

Manufacturing Institute 2018 STEP Ahead Awards

The STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) Ahead initiative launched in 2012 to bolster manufacturing’s attractiveness to women and to help improve the perception of careers in the industry among younger generations. The Institute champions diversity and works to empower women leaders. Since 2013, it has annually awarded the STEP Ahead Award to honor women who demonstrate excellence and leadership in their careers and represent all levels of the manufacturing industry, from the factory floor to the C-suite.

Since the Award program’s inception, AGCO women have been recognized each year. Most recently, the Institute will recognize 100 Honorees and 30 Emerging Leaders, including three AGCO women, with the 2018 STEP Ahead Award at a gala in Washington, D.C.

“I’m proud of this important recognition as the STEP Ahead program supports the same diversity and inclusion approach as the AGCO Global Women’s Network (AGWN),” said Lucinda Smith, Senior Vice President, Global Business Services at AGCO.

AGCO Parts Million Gallon Challenge

AGCO Parts Million Gallon Challenge

In November 2017, AGCO Parts achieved its year-long goal of selling one million gallons of AGCO lubricants. This initiative was led by Greg Sanderson, Senior Marketing Specialist. To drum up excitement within AGCO Parts, Sanderson and the marketing team involved AGWN and the entire Parts organization by incorporating a food drive for a local food bank.

“For every 100,000 gallons we sold in 2017, AGCO Parts employees filled and donated a 55-gallon drum of non-perishable food,” said Sanderson. “Because of this initiative, AGCO Parts has donated hundreds of pounds of food to those in need.”

In addition to the local donations, AGCO Parts committed to making a cash donation to a chosen charity in the sales region that sold the most gallons. The recipient of the donation is the Breakfast Club of Canada in Quebec.
